If I Could Meet These Bloggers in Real Life...

I'd wet my pants.

Wait, you think I would actually admit to that on my blog? PSH.

Seriously though, there are some bloggers that seem to jump off the computer screen as so genuine, real, and insanely crazy fun that I'd want to hang with them in real life. Isn't that what blogging is all about? I love being able to connect with online friends away from the blogosphere because it sets the foundation for some pretty amazing friendships! So if I had my pick of the blogger litter...I'd pick the following and this is what our ideal blate {blogger+date} would look like:

Isn't Erin a given?? I would totally go on a tropical vacation with her and even though I don't drink...we would hit up some crazy dance parties then I would feel hungover the next morning from all the insane fun that was had. She seems not only sweet, but just a solid and dependable friend to have around, someone who has no qualms with telling it like it is. We all need a friend like that!

Gorgeous much?! Emily would be the PERFECT shopping gf because she has a great sense of style and she knows how to high/low brand mix like a champ. Our blogger date would be a weekend full of hardcore shopping, getting all gussied up for fancy dinners out on the town, sunny days laying by the pool, and talking about the young married life!

I just hope that one day I have a child as ridiculously adorable as Huck. I DIE. I would love to roam around New York city with Natalie and Huck on all their adventures to the park or to the new hippest place to eat. They could show off the city to a first-timer and take me to all the must-see stores, sights, and parties. They just seem like such a fun & spontaneous pair to hang with!

I've known Jess for a little while in this blogging world, and it's funny {seeing as how we've never met in person} how insanely proud I am of her for her new Glisten Fit personal training business! This little country girl with so much life & boundless energy, would push me to work harder and be my best during the workout, but then after be an awesome gf to watch stupid girly movies and narf on ice cream with.

Olga is probably the most gorgeous pregnant woman I've ever seen. I'm not even kidding. I've been following her blog for a while and with every pregnancy she always looks absolutely stunning. She is so creative, I would love to throw a blogger party with her! The crafting-party-throwing side of me would be jumping for joy at the thought of working with her on all the cute and thoughtful little details for our party guests.

Galentines Party

Sasha and Jenny put together this awesome Galentines party a little bit ago, and I've honestly not laughed that hard in so long. I know I always say this, but the blogging world is such a crazy one! I met all these ladies online, and now we get together for fun girls nights and bond like we've known each other for ages. That is so dang weird if you really think about it!

Delicious heart cookies, a cute heart photo backdrop, and the quality company made for such a blast of a party. These girls nights will definitely have to happen more often, because I love getting together with such a fun group of ladies and having an excuse to go out and party on a weeknight ;)

Weekend Update: Parks & Rec + Awful Waffle + Church

This past weekend was a crazy one! I'll start from the top...so for my American Heritage class {yuck, still irked I have to take that class}, I have to do 10 hours of community service as a part of my grade. I emailed my old boss at Provo Parks & Recreation asking if he could use me for any volunteer work? I went in to the new Recreation Center {which was recently built & is insanely gorgeous}, and he said I would be directing traffic at the front desk for Junior Jazz {city basketball program for 1st-8th}. 

I had mentioned that I kinda missed being a referee to the little kids and that I would probably put in my application again...he told me no need and handed over the paperwork to have my job back, gave me a raise, and a shift for this upcoming Saturday. Ummm, can I say pumped much? I had worked there up until basketball season ended a couple years ago, then I started my Francesca's job soon after. So it's been a while since I've reffed, and I'm a tad nervous...but mostly excited. It's always nice to know that your hard work is appreciated and that old employers will take you back in a heartbeat! 

After I volunteered Saturday morning, I made my way to Sodalicious {man, was I craving that dirty dr. pepper/sugar cookie} then ended up at Awful Waffle for Deidre's going away party. She is moving to be with her baseball-player husband in Arizona, and we are so jealous she is moving to warmer weather! She has been such an awesome friend, so of course I'm sad to see her go, but I'm so excited for her new adventure :)

Then on Sunday we were invited by our neighbors to hit up a young married ward in the area, which I was a little hesitant about. I've always heard horrible things about married student wards, specifically that they are: cliquish, drama-filled, and awkward. Yikes! Although, we haven't felt very "at home" in our current family ward, so I was up for trying something new.

In all my years of living in Utah {about 5 years}, I've NEVER had anyone approach me and ask if I was new to the ward. Just because there are so many people moving in and out all the time, the ward members just don't know how to sort out who's new or already a part of the ward. I was honestly stunned when I had a few different people ask me who I was, and was genuinely interested in getting to know me. Everyone was so dang friendly! Luckily we are zoned to be in this ward, so we will be hopping over there soon and I'm stoked to meet other couples who are in the same phase of life as us :)

WHEW! That was a major weekend update if I do say so myself. This weekend is chock-full of more exciting stuff: 2 exams, Superbowl party, and my first shift back as a referee! 

Blogger Christmas PJ Party

Last week I went to a blogger Christmas party thrown by the lovely Gentri Lee with my blogger BFF Kyla. It was a low-key party where we wore Christmas pjs, brought our festive mugs, and exchanged white elephant gifts. Honestly, it was one of the funnest parties I have been to in a while because there was no pressure to be fancy shmancy bloggers and there was none of that dumb girl competition/comparison. {Why do we even do that to ourselves?!}

Kyla & I walked in to an apartment full of laughter, amazing treats, and smiles all around. It was the perfect recipe for the best kind of holiday party. Everyone was relaxed because duh, we were in our pjs! It was nice to get to know a bunch of other bloggers in the area, though I wish I would have gone around more and talked to everyone. Guess I'll have to save that for next time ;)

We all sat in a circle to introduce ourselves and the names of our blogs, there was a lot of "ohhhh, I know who you are!" It's exciting to finally piece together the blog to the blogger. We threw our white elephant gifts in the middle, everyone grabbed one then a Christmas story was read where every time there was a "right or left" said in the story we'd have to pass it around. Gosh, it was a blast!

I hope to host one of these low-key blogger parties soon, because I love the idea of rallying everyone together to truly enjoy one another. Especially since us bloggers have so much in common! Thanks again Gentri for the relaxing and fun night! :)

Not Apologizing

I know that some bloggers will apologize for being absent from the blog world for an extended amount of time. In my younger days I saw other bloggers do that and thought "Oh, I guess that's just blogging etiquette?" PSH, lies. Now that I've been around for a while, I feel like I know better.

I'm sure you were able to continue breathing and living without a Breezy Days blog post? Life goes on, and I'm sure as heck not going to apologize for playing N64 Paper Mario with the husband or being busy with school when I "should" have been blogging {according to those posting-everyday-standards.} This is my place of refuge, and I'm more than happy to share a little piece of my life with you. So I'll let you in on a little secret...I've been eating pizza and wearing sweats all weekend and unless you want to hear more about that, I'll more than happily take blogging breaks until I actually put on some real clothes :)

Nordstrom Rack VIP Party

This week I received an invitation to attend the VIP pre-opening party at Nordstrom Rack up in Farmington, UT. Seeing as how I've only ever been to a Nordstrom Rack a handful of times in my life, I figured it would be a fun time to snag one of my best friends and head on up there {Kyla, you were missed!!} We toddled up to the store and it was PACKED. We inched our way inside and I had Alexa show me around the store like a Nordstrom Rack pro would. 

We ended up finding some great deals on comfy sweaters and adorable studded belts through the huge sea of a well-dressed crowd & amazing discounts. After the chaos we made our way over to Ross & Marshall's to see if we could grab any more deals; which is where we ran into Madison & Lauren from the Awkward Girls blog. I went over to say "hi" because I had met them a couple times previous and that was the start of talking each others ears off and eventually dinner at The Habit {a burger place I'd never been to before, which was absolutely delicious!} It's so funny that we all hit it off so well and could not stop talking! Alexa & I had a total blast!! This blogger world is such a crazy fun place to be a part of :)

Happy Halloween!

Last Saturday I helped Elise {along with some other local bloggers} put together a couples Halloween party, because there is a complete lack of engaged/married couples parties in Provo! Ryan grew out his mustache and we went to the party together as Mario & Princess Peach :)

There was an amazingly delicious soup bar with 5 different soup options & a Pinterest worthy treat table decked out with graveyard pudding cups and monster cupcakes! Check out Elise's post with pictures of everyone's fun couples & family costumes; there was a lost boy & tinker bell, Shaggy & Daphne, Ash & Pikachu, and so many more creative & adorable costumes! 

At the end of the night we met up with the mermaid & ship captain for caramel apple cider drinks and a late night chill sesh. Can't wait to pass out candy & finish up my outside Halloween decor for tonight. Happy halloween!

Fall Fashion Fusion

I know I know, this event was almost 80 years ago and I'm finally getting around to posting it. That's just what happens when you're a super-busy-young-married-college-student-lifestyle-blogger {WHEW! That was a mouthful}. I was invited to Fashion Place Mall's Fall Fashion Fusion runway event, and it was a blast like last time! I met up with my blogger BFF Kyla at the show and was also lucky enough to have my mom in town to come with me.

We got to check out all the up & coming fall trends fashioned by various stores such as: Banana Republic, Nordstrom, Express, Buckle, and more in the Fashion Place Mall. I saw that leather leggings are big as ever, leopard print is still the bomb dot com, and brown booties are an absolute must-have in your Fall wardrobe!

I loved Banana Republic's classic yet feminine take on Fall style with sweaters layered over chambray button-ups {if you don't have one yet, it's a necessity!} as well as Nordstrom's edgy take with drool-worthy Rag & Bone booties and essential skin-tight jeggings & leggings. 

After the show, my mom & I dropped by Lush because she had never been there before and grabbed some fun bath bombs! Love the smells when you walk in there, yummmm!

What a Typical Blogger Would Say {Or Do}...

They will also rave about their craving for Fall activities, boots, scarves, weather, and sweaters.

Bloggers will get a pumpkin-spice drink from Starbucks just to indulge early in Fall awesome-ness. To show everyone on their feed that they too have experienced Fall deliciousness known as pumpkin-flavored anything, they will document said event on Instagram...which will also include a convenient shot of their J.Crew link bracelet & Michael Kors watch arm candy.

Even though a good majority of bloggers aren't in school, we will still host "Back to School" themed giveaways. We like themes.

"I just do button swaps...is it worth it to do Passionfruit with a month-to-month fee?"

Typical bloggers will re-evaluate their lives via late night writing sessions, then debate back and forth on whether or not to publish it. How personal do we want to make this blog?? 

"I wish my blog was a dot com, how big does your blog have to be before it's normal to get one?"

Everyone and those dang pink Valentino-inspired heels, or the real ones for that matter.

Along with the Valentino-inspired shoe trend...there also seems to be a baby trend.

Which obviously comes with an adorable gender reveal soiree.

{I had to explain to my mom what that even was, she thought I said something different and freaked out asking: "What is a revealing party?!"}

Because of this preggo-baby trend, there has also been a cornucopia of adorable baby bump outfits.

Thus, the maternity style board on Pinterest was born.
And now everyone in my hometown thinks I'm pregnant...

My Blogger Date With Bree

I can't even express how absolutely STOKED I was to finally meet my blogger friend Bree Pair from The Thing About Joy. We have been going back and forth via blog comments, email, Instagram, and Twitter for over a year! She is a blogger from Houston, TX and I've been back and forth between California & Utah, so when she texted me that she would be at Disneyland for the weekend...I hopped to it and drove my bum down there! We hit up Earl of Sandwich {pretty delish} and talked about family, religion, life, blogging, and everything else in between for 3 and a half hours! We seriously talked like we had been best friends for years and we were just catching up after a long time apart. It is completely CRAZY how this blogging world works! We totally clicked & I couldn't have been more grateful to finally meet one of my good friends in real life :)

Blogger+Date= Blate

I have been perfectly horrible on writing here, with life hitting the fan and with me just getting back from some crazy kamikaze trip to Utah this weekend {20 hours of driving in 3 days}, I have been pooped! Granted, I hate apologizing for having a life outside my blog so I will not say sorry, but will say that I'm excited to share some fun stories with all of you.

Meet my new friend Courtney, we have been blog buddies for a long while now and I finally had the opportunity to meet her this summer! Blogger dates are really interesting, you feel as if you know this person after days and months of tweeting/commenting/emailing back and forth but yet you don't really know them. The fun part is putting the pieces together of what you know of your blate from blogging/Insta/Twitter and what they sound like/act like in real life!

She was so sweet to drive out and meet me in Corona where we then drove to Chick-fil-a {yuummm} and talked about past retail jobs, school, and life! Then we meandered around Target and walked around the outside mall where she got an adorable mint and grey maxi dress and I purchased a white blouse at Loft {super awesome sales!}. We ended up at my apartment complex pool, put our feet in the cool water where I then proceeded to pretty much talk her ear off. And of course, we would not be bloggers if we didn't take a picture to document the occasion! Can't wait for more blates this summer :)

Bijou Market

This morning I met up with Deidre from Love, The Skinnys at the Bijou Market so we could peruse around at all the fun & cute stuff before the massive crowds got there!

It was my first time going and I loved the atmosphere, the unique items for sale, and all the handmade goodies. We ran into Kelsey from Kelsey Bang and Jenny from Plane Pretty and chit chatted for a while, I always love seeing a familiar face! They are honestly the sweetest girls EVER.

 Once it hit about 11-11:30 it got MEGA crowded so we bounced and grabbed ourselves some sustenance at the always-delicious Zupas.

I seriously had a blast commenting on all the stuff at Bijou Market, checking out what jewelry we were gonna get, and having a girls lunch with Deidre...she's such a down to earth girl!

I made off like a bandit with some freaking legit jams & these adorable teeny-tiny heart earrings.

I spent the evening being productive with my best friend Grant, we finished up our Communications final {that class is now officially OVER with} and the husband made brownies while we slaved over our work {cue the awwws}, we promptly scarfed that chocolate-y goodness down, then I submitted the application for my internship this summer.

An awesome night indeed. Woot woot!!!

Now it's time for a bubble bath with the new book I just picked up, "The Fault In Our Stars".

I've been wanting to read something non-school related for a while and have heard good things about this book.

Once my favorite english teacher reviewed it, I just knew I had to pick it up! Thanks Bon!

A Spring Fashion Show

I attended the Fashion Place Mall Fashion Show this last weekend and had a complete BLAST.

I picked up Rachel & Kyla and we carpooled our way up to Murray in lovely Utah traffic.

When we finally made it, I felt like we were at a family reunion,

I was so excited to see all my favorite Utah bloggers :D

We got a tote bag with some fun goodies inside {make-up samples and a Sephora gift card!}, a cool VIP pass {I felt legit & official}, and we sat at the edge of the runway to watch all the shows.

I loved the ballroom dancers who did a mini-performance on the runway in between shows, how cool!!

I was cracking up at how us funny bloggers are, as a massive group we seriously sat and took a BAZILLION pictures for each of our blogs & Instagram accounts. Soooo typical ;)

It is always so funny to meet bloggers you follow in person, I met Sasha for the first time the other night, gave her a huge hug and said hi...then when I started talking to her I accidentally went to introduce myself {my natural instinct when meeting someone in person for the first time} when I realized...oh ya, we already know each other! Totally felt like a dweeb!

My favorite parts of the night were: hanging out with my blogger girls {look at the pic above for the most choice Utah bloggers}, hitting up Sephora debating on what to spend our gift cards on, scarfing Chick-fil-a, way fun girl talk, getting a Fossil charm for my bracelet {the blue vespa!}, and getting my first ever Lush bath bomb! 

My face still hurt when I got home from all the smiling & laughing throughout the night!

It took alllll my might to take pictures of the night's outfit before ripping off my shoes and hopping into my sweats. So glad I wore some comfy jeans & a flowy top to account for my chick-fil-a feast.
